A NOTE FROM THE TEAM
This magazine is compiled, edited, designed, and put together by your sisters to help promote sisterhood amongst members. We are volunteering our time and talents and will learn and evolve this publication as we go along.
We need information from you to publish here! Please send Chapter Chatter, convention news, program ideas, and anything else you think other sisters would enjoy reading.
When submitting information, please keep it brief, under 100 words. We reserve the right to edit for clarity and space requirements. Please ensure submitted photos are high quality and your own, not from a professional photographer.
Send your ideas to us at magazinebsp@gmail.com.

Beta Sigma Phi has always been part of my life. My mom was pregnant with me when she took her pledge ritual into a Nu Phi Mu chapter more than sixty years ago. I saw that sisterhood throughout my life and after I graduated from college, my mom was City Council President. She knew what chapter would be the perfect fit for me, and I became a member of Kansas Xi Delta Nu in 1990 and currently serve as chapter president. I retired from my full-time position as a marketing manager last November, but continue to do freelance work for magazines and newspapers around the United States. When I saw The Torch was no longer going to be published, my first thought was to figure out a way to create a new publication to take its place. There is so much value in a magazine and I feel it will help bind us together as sisters and help make chapters stronger.

Cheryl joined Beta Sigma Phi in 2015. Cheryl originally joined a chapter in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and when she moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she joined Laureate Xi. Cheryl is an HR professional with 25 years of experience and now does HR consulting work; she also runs a not-for-profit focused on Patient Advocacy called Heal Canada and Cacheducation, which trains people in Patient Advocacy. Cheryl publishes a digital magazine for her not-for-profit, and she thought she could bring her expertise to this new challenge; she believes clear communication is key to any organization's success! Cheryl belongs to other ladies' fraternal organizations and enjoys the sisterhood and friendships that come with belonging to each. Cheryl has an MBA and is working on her DBA (Doctorate in Business Administration).
